On June 18, 2007, Galven Jr. Hemphill, aged 52, was shot and killed in St. Louis, Missouri. His body was discovered at a residence on Folk Avenue in the Maplewood neighborhood, slumped over on the front porch. Law enforcement responded to the scene around 6:12 a.m. following a report of an unresponsive individual. Hemphill was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.
