Galven Jr. Hemphill, a 52-year-old Black man from St. Louis, Missouri, was killed in a late-night shooting that left a neighborhood shaken and several other people wounded.
By the time it was over, he was the only person who didn’t make it out alive. Reports described the incident as a burst of violence that also injured three others, turning what began as an ordinary night into a scene of panic, sirens, and flashing lights.
