On January 31, 2024, 18-year-old Dwayne Gibbs was fatally shot in the Gravois Park neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Police responded to a call around 10 p.m. and found Gibbs in the 3400 block of California Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds; he was unconscious and not breathing. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
