Jennifer Bartel, a 39-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost her life on March 14, 2018. She was found shot outside her home on Cushing Street in the Cradock neighborhood. Emergency dispatchers received a call about the incident at approximately 12:46 p.m. that day. Upon arrival, Portsmouth police officers discovered Bartel with a gunshot wound to her torso. Despite being transported to a local hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
