Ariel McLaurin, a 27-year-old mother of six, tragically lost her life on November 9, 2021, in Portsmouth, Virginia. The incident occurred around 5:34 PM near the 2100 block of Pearl Street. When first responders arrived, they found McLaurin suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries before she could be transported to a hospital.
