Daniel N. Wharton, a 19-year-old freshman computer engineering major at Virginia State University (VSU), was tragically shot and killed on December 5, 2021, at the University Apartments at Ettrick, located off-campus in Petersburg, VA. Wharton, originally from Alexandria, VA, was visiting a friend when the incident occurred.
