Corby DeQuan Powell, affectionately known as "Tutu," was a 22-year-old resident of South Chesterfield, Virginia. On October 1, 2016, he was tragically shot and killed in the early morning hours in the 400 block of Nottoway Street in Petersburg, Virginia^1^. Powell was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene^2^. His death marked the fifth homicide in Petersburg for that year^2^.
