In the early hours of December 13, 2021, a burst of violence at a Norfolk, Virginia hotel tragically cut short the life of 23-year-old Tremont M. Webb. A Black male, Webb was discovered by Norfolk police officers responding to a report of a gunshot victim at the Days Inn on Chambers Street around 1:20 a.m. He was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Paramedics rushed Webb to Sentara Leigh Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
Remembered as a handsome and precious young man, Tremont, affectionately known as 'Tre,' was a graduate of Maury High School. His family and friends described him as having an outgoing personality and a genuine caring spirit, with a unique sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room.
As of the latest available information, the Norfolk Police Department has not publicly identified any suspects in the fatal shooting of Tremont Webb. No arrests have been made in connection with his murder.
