Donta McKinley Copeland, aged 34, tragically lost his life on December 31, 2021, in Portsmouth, Virginia. The incident occurred in the afternoon when Portsmouth Police responded to a gunshot wound incident on Dunedin Road. Upon arrival, officers found Donta Copeland with a fatal gunshot wound. Another man at the scene also suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound but was transported to a local hospital and was expected to recover.
