Brent Andre Hargraves, a 36-year-old African American man, was found fatally shot late on the night of January 6, 2025, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Officers from the Portsmouth Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near the 10 block of Calvin Street at approximately 11:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Hargraves unresponsive inside a crashed vehicle.
