In the early morning hours of May 22, 2022, the life of 34-year-old Dwight ONeil Gilmore, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Lynchburg, Virginia. The incident unfolded around 2:16 a.m. outside the Shalom Apartments located at 702 Federal Street, where Gilmore was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
