Melvin Hansen, a 59-year-old resident of Bumpass, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed on June 5, 2022. The incident occurred on Belle Meade Road, where Hansen was found with a fatal gunshot wound. His death was the result of a violent altercation with his on-and-off girlfriend, Jacqueline Bledsoe. According to reports, Bledsoe shot Hansen after he attempted to end their romantic relationship.
