In the early morning hours of September 18, 2015, the life of 21-year-old Jalin Marquis Deberry, a male resident of Hampton, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Just before 5:30 a.m., gunshots echoed through the Denbigh area of Newport News, at the intersection of Garrow Road and Shannon Drive. Responding to a call, police discovered Deberry lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
