On a summer night in Sutherlin, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Jerome Jahiem White was tragically cut short. The young Black male was at a large gathering on Kerns Church Road in Pittsylvania County on June 26, 2022, when violence erupted. In a chaotic scene with over 100 people present, gunfire broke out, leaving a trail of victims. In total, eight individuals were struck by bullets.
