Jason Marcus, a 40-year-old resident of Appomattox County, Virginia, was found dead behind the wheel of his vehicle on September 5, 2022, in the 1000 block of Leesville Road in Lynch Station. The Campbell County Sheriff's Office initially responded to a welfare check on a driver and discovered Marcus deceased in his car. The incident was initially categorized as a suspicious death but was later confirmed to be a homicide.
