On the evening of June 13, 2024, in Roanoke, Virginia, emergency services responded to a vehicle crash in the 2400 block of Cornell Drive NW. Upon arrival, they discovered a car that had collided with a shed. Inside the vehicle, they found the sole occupant, 21-year-old Dontae R. Muse, unresponsive. It was quickly determined that he had sustained a critical gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, Mr.
Muse was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation into the incident revealed that the crash was a result of the shooting. Seabrooks was taken into custody and has been charged with second-degree murder. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center where he was held without bond.
