On a tragic evening in Vineland, New Jersey, 51-year-old Michael Mazzoli, a White / Caucasian male, was fatally shot in his own home. The events of November 17, 1950, unfolded when his son-in-law, Ernest Ingenito, arrived at the residence where his estranged wife, Theresa 'Tessie' Mazzoli, was living with her parents, Michael and Pearl Mazzoli. Ingenito's intent was to visit his two young sons, but a denial of access sent him into a violent rage.
