Thomas Louis Beatty Jr., a 52-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in northwest Charlotte on January 13, 2017. This incident marked the seventh murder in Charlotte for that year. Beatty Jr. was found with a gunshot wound and was immediately taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
