In the late spring of 2012, the life of Sa’Maze Chambliss, a 20-year-old male from Camden, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, May 29, 2012, Chambliss was on the 1200 block of Princess Avenue in his hometown when he was shot multiple times. The violent encounter left him with critical injuries, and he was rushed to Cooper Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Chambliss succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
In the wake of the shooting, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Camden Police Department launched a homicide investigation.
