In the early morning hours of a Friday in July 2017, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Camden, New Jersey neighborhood. When police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:17 a.m., they discovered Dasheem Funches, a 21-year-old male, in the vicinity of the 100 block of Pfieffer Street.
