On the evening of May 17, 2017, Edward Whittle Jr., a 30-year-old male, was shot multiple times in the 1300 block of Carl Miller Boulevard in Camden, New Jersey. The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m. Responding to reports of a shooting, police discovered Whittle at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at about 9:17 p.m.
