In the winter of 2022, a violent act shattered the quiet of a Camden neighborhood. On the evening of January 28th, police were called to a home on the 1400 block of Collings Road in the Fairview section of the city. Inside, they found 61-year-old Eric Beverly suffering from a gunshot wound. The urgent rush to Cooper Hospital was not enough to save him, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival, at approximately 10:15 p.m.
