On a summer morning in Camden, New Jersey, 37-year-old Shawn W. Quann, a Black male, was fatally shot on July 12, 2015. He was in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Maxima at the intersection of Newton and Trenton Avenues when the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Quann was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where he ultimately died from his injuries. His death was the 15th homicide in Camden that year.
