On a cold Saturday evening in Camden, New Jersey, tragedy struck on January 7, 2023. Eric Cecilia, a 31-year-old man, was fatally shot in an incident that also left another man wounded. The quiet of the 3200 block of Saunders Avenue was shattered at approximately 8:46 p.m. by the sound of gunfire, which triggered a ShotSpotter notification and brought Camden County Police officers to the scene.
