In the early morning hours of a mid-April day in Camden, New Jersey, the life of 28-year-old Mahlon Kellum was tragically cut short. Authorities were called to the intersection of 6th and Viola Streets around 2:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Kellum suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency services transported Mahlon Kellum to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The shooting immediately prompted an investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Camden County Police Department.
