In the early evening of May 12, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Newark street, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Robert L. Nelson III, a 24-year-old resident of the city, was fatally wounded in what authorities described as a triple shooting. The incident unfolded in the 600 block of Hunterdon Street, where violence erupted for reasons that remain publicly unspoken.
