In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 25, 2018, the city of Pleasantville, New Jersey, became the somber setting for the county's first homicide of the year. Tywan Bailey, a 33-year-old male from the neighboring community of Atlantic City, was discovered in the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue, having been the victim of a fatal shooting.
