On a summer night in Camden, New Jersey, the life of 38-year-old Charles White was tragically cut short. In the late hours of Saturday, July 7, 2018, authorities responded to calls of a shooting on the 2100 block of Jones Street. Upon their arrival at approximately 10:39 p.m., they discovered White lying in the street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and quickly transported the gravely injured man to Cooper University
Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Charles White succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:11 p.m. that same evening. The male victim was a resident of Camden.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Camden County Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide.
