In the evening hours of March 20, 2025, in Camden, New Jersey, a sequence of events unfolded that would ultimately lead to the tragic death of 18-year-old Zaheer Whye. At approximately 6:27 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the air in the vicinity of South 7th and Ware Streets, prompting a response from the Camden County Police Department. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a young man suffering from a gunshot wound behind a home on the 700 block of Ware Street.
