In the early evening of May 29, 2019, a tragic event unfolded in Meridian, Mississippi, that claimed the life of 27-year-old Talimon Edwards, a Black male. Edwards and another man, Elbert Earl Carpenter Jr., were discovered inside a vehicle at the intersection of 22nd Street and Royal Road, both having succumbed to fatal gunshot wounds.
