In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On May 13, 2021, 21-year-old Trevon Arthur-Haneef Palin, a Black male, was found with serious injuries on the 1000 block of Anna Street. The initial reports from that night indicated that police were responding to the sound of gunfire in the area at approximately 9:25 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered the gravely wounded Palin, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
