In the late hours of a Friday evening in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the life of 26-year-old Patrick Shukla was tragically cut short. On November 6, 2020, just before midnight, officers from the Elizabeth Police Department were dispatched to the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson on International Boulevard. There, in the parking lot of the hotel, they found Shukla with a serious injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
