On a Tuesday evening in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 28-year-old Sharique J. Ray, a male resident of the city, was tragically cut short. On March 8, 2022, on Huntington Terrace, Ray was shot under circumstances that have yet to be fully disclosed to the public. The incident prompted a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency services. Despite their efforts, Ray was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:52 p.m.
