On the evening of May 3, 2023, 20-year-old Jayden “FATBOY” Jarvis, a former defensive tackle for Barringer High School's football team, was fatally shot in Newark, New Jersey. At approximately 9:43 p.m., Newark police responded to reports of gunfire on the 200 block of 4th Street.
