In the early evening of September 2, 2022, the relative peace that had settled over Trenton, New Jersey for 93 days was shattered by gunfire. On the 200 block of Spring Street, 35-year-old Rasheed Barlow, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m., also left another man, aged 38, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
