In the summer of 2020, the life of a young and talented musical artist was tragically cut short on the streets of Trenton, New Jersey. Covvie Darrel Scott Jr., a 24-year-old male from the neighboring Ewing Township, was fatally shot on the night of Wednesday, July 1, 2020. The incident unfolded around 10:15 p.m. when Trenton police were alerted to the sound of gunfire by a Shot Spotter activation in the area of the 100 block of North Hermitage Avenue.
