In the quiet, early hours of May 17, 2023, a confrontation in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, ended in the tragic death of 28-year-old Matthew T. Morales. The male victim, from Blackwood, New Jersey, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 4900 block of South Broad Street shortly after 1 a.m. Despite being rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Morales succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
