In the early morning hours of September 7, 2022, the life of 29-year-old Khalif Ligon, a Black male, was tragically cut short on a street in Newark, New Jersey. At approximately 1:49 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 block of Roseville Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Ligon suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 2:17 a.m.
