Taylor, a 42-year-old Black male from the neighboring city of East Orange, found his life cut short by gunfire on July 4, 2022. The incident unfolded around 5 p.m. on the 200 block of South Eighth Street, a time when many were gathering with family and friends for Independence Day festivities.
