In the early hours of a Tuesday in August 2017, the life of 22-year-old Tyiere Parks was tragically cut short on the streets of Newark, New Jersey. At approximately 12:14 a.m. on August 15th, gunfire erupted in the 800 block of Clinton Avenue, near the intersection of Fabyan Place. When the sound of the shots faded, Parks was left with a fatal wound.
