In the summer of 2016, a burst of gunfire on a Friday afternoon in Newark, New Jersey, ended the life of 27-year-old Jameel Daniels. On July 22nd, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Astor Street. Arriving at the scene, officers found Daniels lying unresponsive in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency services rushed Daniels to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead ...
