On January 20, 2025, 22-year-old African American male D'Shawn Marcelle Brown was fatally shot in the parking lot of a McDonald's located at 6910 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Responding officers from the Baton Rouge Police Department discovered D'Shawn Brown near his vehicle, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The incident occurred around 3:53 p.m., prompting an immediate homicide investigation.
