On a Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 20-year-old Timothy Pena of Denham Springs was tragically cut short. On December 17, 2013, Pena was discovered in his truck on Sycamore Street around 10:30 a.m., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He was rushed to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The initial investigation suggested a drug deal had gone fatally wrong, based on text messages found on Pena's phone.
