A man is shot and killed in Baton Rouge on New Year's Day
On New Year's Day in 2012, the life of 22-year-old Gregory Alexander, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the early hours of January 1st, Alexander was fatally shot in a part of the city grimly referred to as the "Murder Triangle," an area known for its high incidence of violent crime.

Baton Rouge police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Alexander, who had succumbed to his injuries. His death marked ...
