In the early morning hours of November 29, 2025, a violent incident unfolded in the 4600 block of Divincenti Drive, located near the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Around 12:20 a.m., patrol officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, law enforcement officials discovered a vehicle containing Kyland Hamilton, a 22-year-old male, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The officers secured the area and facilitated immediate medical transport for the critically injured victim.
Hamilton was rushed to a local hospital where medical personnel attempted to treat his severe injuries. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at the medical facility.
