Joyce Marie Driver Burgan, aged 22, tragically lost her life on December 3, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident was a result of a horrific act of violence perpetrated by her husband, James D. Burgan. On that fateful day, James, a 28-year-old factory worker, killed Joyce along with their four children and Joyce's friend, Mrs. Billi Gene Nolan.
