In the early hours of April 10, 2002, a tragic event unfolded in Detroit, Michigan, that cut short the life of 8-year-old Brianna Caddell. While sleeping in her first-floor bedroom on Cardoni Street, the young girl became the unintended victim of a violent act. The home she shared with her mother and five siblings was riddled with more than two dozen bullets fired from an assault rifle. Brianna was struck in the arm and chest and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local children's hospital.
