Freddie Lee Jackson, a 42-year-old police officer with the Detroit Police Department, tragically lost his life on October 6, 1986. Officer Jackson was working a plainclothes detail in an area around the 15000 block of Idaho Street, which had been experiencing a high level of automobile burglaries.
