Byron Gilbert, also known by his stage name DJ Slick B, was tragically killed on February 7, 2020, in Detroit, Michigan. Gilbert, aged 28, was walking towards his car with a friend in the 10100 block of West McNichols Road when they were approached by two men who opened fire. The assailants shot both Gilbert and his friend, fatally wounding Gilbert and injuring his companion. The suspects then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
