Byron Gilbert, a 28-year-old man known in the Detroit music scene as DJ Slick B, was fatally shot on Friday, February 7, 2020. The incident occurred on Detroit's west side, near McNichols Road and Ilene Street, as Gilbert and a friend were walking to his vehicle.
