On a tragic December evening in 1998, Andrzej Wojciech Olbrot, a 52-year-old male professor at Wayne State University, was killed. The incident occurred on December 10, 1998, while Olbrot was administering a final exam to his graduate computer engineering students in the Old Main building on the Detroit, Michigan, campus. As approximately 24 students were focused on their tests, a gunman entered the classroom around 7:20 p.m. and opened fire on the professor.
