On a summer day in Detroit, Michigan, the lives of two young men were brutally cut short, leaving a community in shock and their families searching for answers that remain elusive to this day. On June 26, 2011, Detroit Police and Fire Departments responded to a call in the 19000 block of Westmoreland near 7 Mile Road. Upon their arrival, they made a gruesome discovery: the bodies of 26-year-old Martez Norwood and 24-year-old Charles W. Reid.
